coding will be covered along with information on
the Correct Coding Initiative (CCI), compliance
and reimbursement issues, E&M guidelines and
much more. Code by code details and tips are provided

code selections causing a smoother billing process
with quicker and better reimbursement. More detailed
information about the course can be found in the "Course

study guide to finish preparation for the Certified
Professional Procedural Coder exam.
As a prerequisite to this course, a basic understanding
of the CPT-4 (CPT), ICD-9-CM (ICD-9) and HCPCS
coding principles should already be established.
There will be brief introductions involving the "basics" of
coding and then will span out to include the more
in-depth information.

- Students are assigned an instructor for one-on-one
assistance
- Students move at their own pace
- The student work is evaluated; a 70% is required
for a certificate
- Students should complete the course within
90 days but may request an additional 90-day
