Course Description
- The course consists of 120 hours of classroom experience and 150 hours of field experience. The projects and experiences can be completed at your job.
- The course is approved by the Dietary Managers Association (DMA) for the training of dietary or food service personnel preparing to become Certified Dietary Managers. The pass-rate for students has been excellent.
- Study at home at your own pace and without disruption to your work. In fact, you may find that taking the course enhances your job performance.
- Although you never enter a classroom, if you have questions or need advice, our faculty members are as close as your telephone or e-mail.
- If you select to complete your course by CD-ROM, please check this format on the application. You must have either Microsoft Word 97 or newer, or Corel Word Perfect Suite 8 to use the CD-ROM. Assignments may be e-mailed to your instructor if you choose.
Course Content
The lessons are divided into three units according to DMA's required curriculum pattern:
UNIT I: Administrative and Personnel Management
UNIT II: Nutrition and Nutritional Care
UNIT III: Systems Management
Course Materials
Your course tuition includes all of the course materials required except textbooks. Included in your course materials are Student Units and a Preceptor's Manual. Textbooks are ordered and paid for separately, as described in Textbooks & Ordering.
