DM 3967: Diabetes Nutrition Therapy
Diabetes Nutrition Therapy is based on the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT) conclusion that blood glucose control can prevent or delay the complications of diabetes. You will learn how to apply the current medical nutrition therapy for the person with diabetes mellitus. The course includes diabetes care through the stages of life and the effects of food, exercise and medications.

Part I:Learn about appropriate
diabetes treatment goals, monitoring

Part II: Explore aspects of
diabetes management, including complications, life stages, and
lifestyle changes. Pre-requisite: Part I
