Application for Certificate Program & Clock-Hour Courses (PDF file)
To receive an Advanced Certificate in Nutrition Therapy, you need to take four of the continuing education courses offered by the University of North Dakota Division of Continuing Education. One of the courses needs to be a core course: Introductory Nutrition for Dietary Personnel (DM 356) or Nutrition Therapy for Dietary Personnel (DM 359).
Taking one or two courses does not obligate you to obtain a certificate. However, if you have already taken a current edition of a course, that course will count toward obtaining a certificate. You will be given five years to complete the four courses required to obtain this certificate. Courses taken at other institutions cannot be substituted for courses offered by the University of North Dakota's Division of Continuing Education. To enroll in the certificate program, indicate your intention on the clock-hour courses application. There is no additional cost for enrolling in the certificate program.
For more information on nutrition courses, please see the link for the brochure or for clock-hour courses above.
