Home Inspection Certificate

General Information

A professional, well-trained home inspector can provide consumers with information needed to make an informed purchase decision and a good investment! This program covers the major elements of a house and the principal components of a home inspection. A written home inspection report will detail the home's condition including the heating and cooling systems, the plumbing and electrical systems, the roof and siding, as well as the framing and foundation. The program focuses on standards of practice, defects recognition, inspection guidelines, reporting methodologies, and liability management.

How the Online Course Works:

  • Students begin when they wish
  • Students are assigned an instructor for one-on-one assistance
  • Students move at their own pace
  • The student work is evaluated; a 70% is required for a certificate
  • Students should complete the course within 90 days but may request an additional 90-day extension
  • Students will receive a certificate from the school upon successful completion

The courses are self-paced. The instructors respond to the student, not the other way around. Each course has a set of lessons and exams.
