What is the Clinical Forum on Mental Health: Turning Knowledge into Practice?

On behalf of the North Dakota Department of Human Services, we invite you to join us for the fifth annual Clinical Forum on Mental Health: Turning Knowledge into Practice. Our goal in planning the Clinical Forum is to support and encourage a statewide system of quality mental health services. This Forum seeks to educate professionals from multiple disciplines in evidenced-based practices that promote the well being of children, adults and the elderly.

The Clinical Forum is designed to not only instill newfound skills and knowledge, but also to challenge you to think about the how’s, what’s and why’s of our system of care. We hope to provide you with information on how to implement evidenced-based, promising programs that will enhance mental health services. Sessions are designed to act as a guide to you, with speakers representing a national, regional and local approach. You will learn how to turn knowledge into practices you can use.

Here's what participants said about the 2008 Clinical Forum on Mental Health:
  • I greatly appreciated the wide variety of topics, regional and national presenters.
  • I liked having an opportunity to attend sessions where I do not have a strong knowledge base.
  • Having sessions presented by consumers was very interesting and made the topics seem more "real."
  • Being able to apply what I learned in what I do.
  • A perfect opportunity for networking.
  • I appreciate the opportunity to obtain CEUs.
  • The topics related to my personal life AND my work.
  • The best part about the Forum was the different perspectives/views the presenters presented.  The presenters were interesting, informative, and made it a great learning experience.
