Supporting Families When Parents Have Learning Challenges

This workshop is designed for caseworkers and case aides working in the child protection system with parents that have developmental disabilities or other mild cognitive challenges.  It will focus on ways of accommodating their learning style and needs, writing goals that are realistic, reasonable and fair, identifying strengths, providing proper supports, and utilizing intervention strategies to help them fulfill the role as parent.
