The Distance Engineering Degree Program is a part
time program designed for adult learners working
full time or for those individuals who are not able
to attend traditional on-campus courses.
Currently courses are offered online. In addition,
laboratory requirements are fulfilled during condensed
sessions in the summer (one lab credit - on-campus
3-5 days, two lab credits - on-campus 7-9 days, three
lab credits - on-campus up to 14 days).
The mission of the Distance Engineering Degree Program
is "to deliver exemplary ABET accredited undergraduate
engineering degree programs that respond to the unique
needs of adult learners and provide opportunities
for individuals who are not able to participate in
traditional, on-campus educational experiences."
Many company employees participate in the Distance
Engineering Degree Programs including those from
3M, Intel, Hutchinson Technology, Inc., Lucent Technologies,
Westinghouse, Whirlpool Corporation, Agilent Technologies,
Polaris Industries and many more.
Benefits
to Distance Engineering Degree Program Students
Many benefits exist for students participating
in the program. A few benefits include:
- opportunities to learn while you continue to
earn,
- easy access to a quality engineering degree
program,
- flexibility to view lectures at the most
convenient times and places, and

education.
Here is what some of our current students are
saying about the program:

"As the labs encompass
an entire semester of material in a one-week
period, I have to say that this has been
the most challenging part of the degree program
for me, but at the same time the most satisfying."
