Minimum
Technical Requirements
The following specifications are the minimum requirements
and suggestions for preferred software/hardware
in order to successfully access and/or download
the online lectures delivered through the Distance
Engineering Degree Program. If you have any questions

- Computer
- PC with Pentium III 300 MHz processor
or higher*
- SVGA or higher-resolution monitor (monitor
must be set at 1024 x 768 resolution)
- Minimum hard drive space for required
software
- 750MB minimum free hard drive space to
download lectures
- 256 MB RAM or higher
- Mouse and keyboard
- Sound card and speakers (please make
sure you have current sound card drivers)
- CD-Rom
- Internet Connection
- 56 Kbps or faster modem (high speed cable
modem/DSL preferred) - if you plan to download
the lectures and you will use a 56 K modem,
the download time will be a minimum of
45 minutes
- Software
- Microsoft Windows 98 or higher (Windows
XP preferred)
- RealOne V.2 Player**, WinZip** - WinZip
is needed if you will be downloading the
lectures
- Internet Browser
- Netscape Navigator 7.0 or higher or Microsoft
Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher (Internet
Explorer is preferred)
* At the current time, online lectures will not
be supported by Mac.
**The software (RealOne and WinZip) will be provided
on a CD Rom and sent to newly registered students.
