Online Registration

All Distance Engineering Degree Program students register through CampusConnection (PeopleSoft).
Students must have a Special Permission Numbers to register for each class.

How to register

How to register with Special Permission Numbers in CampusConnection

To register for distance classes in CampusConnection you will need a Special Permission Number for each class. The Special Permission Number form is at: http://www.conted.und.edu/ddp/spn . Once you have filled out the information on the special permission form and clicked submit you will be given a special permission number (IMPORTANT -- print out that page with the special permission number--you will need those numbers when registering in Campus Connection). You will then be prompted to access Campus Connection, make sure you have your User ID and Password to log in to Campus Connection.

Please request only ONE special permission number for each class.

If you don't know your User ID and Password go to Where do I get My User ID and Password.

Log into CampusConnection at http://www.und.edu/dept/registrar/campusconnection/
To view registration appointment times - click on View my appointment time.

To register for a classes in CampusConnection click on
   - Register for Classes, under Menu (or student Self Service>Learner Services>Academics)
    - Enroll in a Class, under Menu
    - Select the term, under Enrollment Term
    - Go to Add Classes
    - Enter the class that you want by Class Number (this is on your special permission form)
    - Tab, by using the Tab key (ignore the error message if you get one)
    - Click on the class link under Subject/Catalog# (you need to do this for each class)
    - Enter the assigned Special Permission Number (from the special permission form)
    - Click on the OK button
    - This will bring you back to the Add Classes screen
    - Click Submit
    - Success is the response you should receive.

If you have a hold on your account, such as a Business Office hold, you will need to have that hold removed before registering. Advisor holds are lifted by your advisor after you have contacted him to verify which course(s) you should register in.

UND reserves the right to cancel a class/lab if enrollment is not sufficient.

If you have had a break in enrollment, you will need to be readmitted. The Undergraduate request for readmission form is at http://www.und.nodak.edu/dept/registrar/forms/readmit.pdf

Financial Aid

If you are seeking financial aid, you must complete the appropriate FAFSA form which is on the web. Grants and loans are available to those eligible. More information on available programs and eligibility requirements can be found on the UND Student Financial Aid Office Web site.

Textbooks

Textbooks

Order through Barnes and Noble Bookstore

Order your textbooks early to ensure you have them in time to begin your course.  Textbooks are available through Barnes and Noble on the UND campus or online at www.whywaitforbooks.com .

1. Select North Dakota
2. Select University of North Dakota
3. Select the term of your course
4. Select the department of your course
5. Select your course by course number
6. Select your section by using the class number
    found on your Campus Connection course schedule
7. Click Add Course
8. Click View Textbook List on the right
     to select which textbook(s) you wish to purchase and checkout

The system will prompt you to register, but will also let you check out as a guest. The benefit of registering is that you will be able to revisit your order if you need to make a change.

You can use your financial aid charge account at the bookstore during the fall and spring semesters. To do so, make sure to enter your EMPLID number in the required field.

Your textbooks can be shipped, or you can choose to pick them up at the UIND Barnes and Noble campus bookstore prior to the start of classes.

 


Beginning Your Coursework with Correspondenceand Online Studies

If you do not have any college credit or still have General Education Requirements (GERs) to complete, UND's Correspondence & Online Studies Program may be right for you. Register today! You don't have to wait for the beginning of a semester--and you get up to nine months to complete a class.
