Last day to add a full-term course: January 22, 2008

Tuition and Fees due: Tuesday, January 22, 2008
A late fee of $200 will be charged if not paid by January 22, 2008.

Registration for Spring Semester began November 5, 2007

Must be a UND admitted student before registering for any classes.

Textbooks

Order through Barnes and Noble Bookstore

Order your textbooks early to ensure you have them in time to begin your course.  Textbooks are available through Barnes and Noble on the UND campus or online at www.whywaitforbooks.com .

1. Select North Dakota
2. Select University of North Dakota
3. Select the term of your course
4. Select the department of your course
5. Select your course by course number
6. Select your section by using the class number
    found on your Campus Connection course schedule
7. Click Add Course
8. Click View Textbook List on the right
     to select which textbook(s) you wish to purchase and checkout

The system will prompt you to register, but will also let you check out as a guest. The benefit of registering is that you will be able to revisit your order if you need to make a change.

You can use your financial aid charge account at the bookstore during the fall and spring semesters. To do so, make sure to enter your EMPLID number in the required field.

Your textbooks can be shipped, or you can choose to pick them up at the UIND Barnes and Noble campus bookstore prior to the start of classes.

 


EDL 524 - Educational Personnel Administration - 2 credits
    K-12 cohort

Dates: January 13-14, February 3-4, 2008

Instructor: Sherry Houdek

Description: Study of selection, assignment, evaluation, development, and release practices for certified and non-certified school personnel; salary and contract administration in schools.


EDL 531 - School District Leadership - 2 credits
    K-12 cohort

Dates: February 24-25, March 16-17, 2008
Times: Sundays - 1-9 PM
   Mondays - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Instructor: Garry Schnellert

Description: A study of concerns and issues related to education leadership and administration at the district level, including relationships between the superintendent and the school board, community and school district staff.


EDL 533 - Collective Negotiations - 3 credits
    K-12 cohort

Dates: April 6-7, 27-28, 2008
Times: Sundays - 1-9 PM
   Mondays - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Instructor: Garry Schnellert

Description: A study of the collective bargaining process in the field of education. Includes topics such as contract language, planning for negotiations, bargaining strategies, impasse and arbitration, contract maintenance, grievance procedures, and results of the negotiations.


EDL 551 - Academic Administration in Higher Education - 3 credits
    HE cohort

Dates: January 13-14, March 16-17, April 6-7, 2008

Instructor: Jeff Sun

Description: The roles and responsibilities of academic administration in higher education. Topics include the major academic roles (chairperson, dean, chief academic officer), curriculum and instruction, program evaluation, assessment, planning, faculty workload and evaluation, and the profession of administrator.


EDL 552 - Higher Education Law - 2 credits
    HE cohort

Dates: January 13-14, February 3-4, 24-25, 2008
Times: Sundays - 1-9 PM
   Mondays - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Instructor: Jeff Sun

Description: An overview of the legal issues that confront college and university personnel. Pertinent federal and state statutes as well as case law will be used to instruct about legal rights and responsibilities of university and college administrators. The legal relationships between the institution and the faculty, the student, the state government, and the federal government will be explored.
