This M.S. degree program in Elementary Education (thesis or non-thesis) is designed to provide advanced professional preparation of the classroom teacher. The program focuses on preparing teachers to create learner-centered learning environments supported by numerous resources and technology tools. Teacher candidates gain multiple experiences related to current curriculum, instructional practices and alternative assessment strategies. Field experiences in K-6 classrooms also occur throughout the program to enhance professional development and reflective practice.
