Admission Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or greater for all undergraduate work or a GPA of 3.00 or greater for the Junior and Senior years of undergraduate work (based on A=4.00).
  • Score of 550 or greater on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) for all applicants whose native language is not English.
  • Teacher certification, or appropriate background if non-certified.

Degree Requirements

  • Minimum of 32 semester credits
      - 24 credits in Elementary Education
      - 6 credits in Scholarly Tools
      - 2 credits of Independent Study
