Admission Requirement
1. Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) from a
National League for Nursing (NLN) or Commission
on Collegiate Nursing
Education (CCNE) accredited program.
2.
Minimum grade point average (GPA) of
3.00 (on a 4.0 scale) for the last two years
of your undergraduate
program.
3. Grade of C or higher in a statistics
course (graduate or undergraduate level).
4. Current RN licensure in the United
States.
5. Minimum of one year of experience as
a registered nurse.
Note: If
you do not meet these admission standards, you
may be admitted on a provisional basis with continued
enrollment contingent on successful completion
of pre-requisite coursework and/or successful performance
in the program.
Admission Process
To be admitted to the M.S. program, you are required
to submit the following materials to the UND Graduate
School, which then transmits the materials to the
College of Nursing:
1.

2.
Three letters of recommendation from those who can
comment on your academic abilities
3.
A 3-5 page personal statement (the essay described
in the Graduate School application) covering:
- Motivation for being a nurse educator
- Values and beliefs regarding nursing education
- Experience with diversity
- Qualities that you bring to the profession
- Professional goals
4. Official copies of all academic
transcripts, including undergraduate and graduate
coursework.
They must arrive in envelopes sealed by the registrar.
5.
Resume
Getting Started
UND's course rotation allows you to begin earning
your M.S. with a Nurse Education Specialization every
fall semester.
Review of applications for the fall semester will begin July 16.
Applications
are accepted on an ongoing basis, so if you would
like to start in an alternative semester, please
inquire. Space is limited, so get started
TODAY to ensure your placement in the program.
