How Can I Earn My M.S. While I Work?
With the M.S. with a Nurse Education Specialization
online program, you can earn your graduate degree
from the University of North Dakota without interrupting
your career. With courses offered online and through
video-conferencing, you will receive the convenience
of distance learning with the personal contact and
connection of "live" instruction. Plus, you can access
recorded course content through the Internet at any
time.
As an online student, you will participate in
class sessions (held at set times in the evenings and/or
weekends) that are conducted "live" over the Internet.
During these "live" class
sessions, you will use Web-conferencing technology
to interact with your instructors and other students.
You will be able to see your instructors' materials
as though you were sitting in a classroom on the UND
campus. In this manner, the class lectures, discussion,
and collaboration are conducted in a very similar fashion
to traditional on-campus classes. You may also set
your own schedule by reviewing recorded classroom lectures
and discussions that are "stored" and accessed through the Internet.
For the Teaching Practicum Course, you may work with
a nursing school or health setting near your local
community in order to fulfill the teaching practicum
requirement.
If you prefer, you may also earn your M.S. with a
Nurse Education Specialization through the on-campus
program in Grand Forks. A Post-Master Certificate
in Nurse Education Specialization is also available
in on-campus or off-campus formats.
