How
Can I Earn My MSW While I Work?
With the online MSW Distance Program, you can
earn your graduate degree from the University of
North Dakota without interrupting your career.
You will receive the convenience of online learning
with the personal contact and connection of "live" instruction.
As an online student, you will participate in
class sessions (held at set times in the evenings
and/or weekends) that are conducted "live" over
the Internet through Web-conferencing technology.
During these "live" class sessions, you will use
two-way audio/video systems to interact with your
instructors. You will be able to see your instructors'
materials as though you were sitting in a classroom
on the UND campus. In this manner, the online class
lectures, discussion, and collaboration are conducted
in a very similar fashion to traditional on-campus
classes.
Keep in mind that in order to complete the program
in two to three years, you are required to complete
six credits per semester. You
will also need to spend four to five days on the
UND campus in Grand Forks twice
your program . The on-campus
experiences integrate, extend and apply the knowledge
you learned in earlier online courses and readings.
