Mission
The University of North Dakota Division of Continuing
Education promotes lifelong learning, economic development,
and offers quality educational opportunities, programming,
and services by extending the resources of the University.
Vision
The Division of Continuing Education will be
a recognized leader on-campus, statewide, nationally
and internationally in providing educational
outreach in a global market place. This will
be accomplished through partnerships with UND
academic colleges and support units, other higher
education institutions, and, business and industry.
Background
The Division of Continuing Education was established
in 1910 and has since been a leader in providing
non-traditional educational experiences to students.
By being responsive, emphasizing quality programming,
and providing excellent personal service, the
Division of Continuing Education is able to maintain
a tradition of excellence.
Locations
The Division has offices in four locations at this time. Staff members in Correspondence & Online Studies, Certificate Programs, Distance Degrees, and Extension are located in Gustafson Hall on the University of North Dakota campus. On the west side of the campus, the new Skalicky Tech Incubator is home to the UND Television Center , Office of Work Force Development, Conference Services and University Within the University program. In addition, the Division provides courses for degree programs through the UND Bismarck Center and the Fargo Outreach Office.
