If you are not admitted to the University of North Dakota as an undergraduate student, you have two options for taking online courses:
- Apply for full admission as a UND student through
UND Enrollment Services.
As a fully admitted student, you are considered a degree-seeking student and can register for online, semester-based courses (as well as traditional, on-campus courses) and are eligible for financial aid. Keep in mind that this admissions process may delay your ability to register for courses, since you must be fully admitted before registration can take place.
- Apply for admission as a non-degree-seeking UND student.
As a non-degree-seeking student, you may take up to 15 credits at the University of North Dakota. You will simply need to complete a course registration form and will be charged a one-time-only $35 non-refundable admission fee. NOTE: As a non-degree-seeking student at UND you are not eligible for financial aid.
You may choose between two formats for taking online courses:
- Enroll in online, semester-based courses
- Enroll in your course(s) during the University’s standard registration dates.
- Follow the semester’s schedule for completing lessons and exams.
NOTE: Registration for online, semester-based courses begins March 29, 2008 (for both summer and fall 2008).
- Register for non-semester-based online courses
- Enroll anytime during the calendar year.
- Take up to 9 months to complete your course(s).
- Set your own schedule for completing lessons and exams.
NOTE: If you are interested in taking graduate-level (500 or above) courses online, please contact the UND Graduate School for information on how to apply for full admission or non-degree-seeking admission.
