Dear University Community:

The University of North Dakota is poised for an exceptional future. The way in which we present the University to the rest of the world is a critical piece of becoming exceptional. Since our Web site is the most widely-used global resource for information about UND, we have begun an intense process for building a new UND Web site. This project goes beyond creating a new visual look; it will represent a new architecture designed specifically for reaching our external audiences. A separate and secure internal Internet environment — an Intranet, if you will — will become the main communication tool for the informational needs of internal audiences, including students, faculty, staff, and administrators. The Timeline

March 16, 2010 UND Web Team

The re-purposed Web site will come together over the course of the four (4) outlined stages in linked timeline. Work within each stage is divided among the Web Oversight Committee, Web team, content developers across campus, Risdall Marketing Group, and others as needed. We will go live in October 2010 to capitalize on the opening of a new academic year, as well as the student recruitment cycle.

Have you ever screamed at the top of your lungs and felt no one heard you? On und.edu, we say an awful lot, but can’t guarantee the message is getting to the people who need it most. We know people visit our site and find targeted and timely  information. However, we know we can do a better job announcing the right messages from the right rooftops so our audience is motivated into purposeful action. Read more »
